Rabbit Lives With Chickens And Thinks It’s One Of Them

When a couple put a rabbit in their chicken coop, they had no idea this would be the reaction of the rabbit.

This rabbit is taking on the behavior of his chicken buddies.

David and Evelyn Gamble are living with a confused rabbit. He actually lives outside with their chickens in a coop, and therein seems to lie the problem. The rabbit has begun acting like the chickens, the Eastern Daily Press reports.

"I think they maybe look at each other as the same thing,” Mr. Gamble told the Eastern Daily Press.

The couple, who live in the seaside town of Sheringham in the United Kingdom, explained that this all started when they took over ownership of the rabbit, who is named Nibbles, when their grandchildren moved and couldn’t keep Nibbles anymore. The Gambles have a yard, but they are avid gardeners, so the solution seemed to be keeping the rabbit in the chicken coop.

Nibbles now lays on a perch just like the chickens do. Mrs. Gamble is eager to see if he will learn to scratch and dig holes from the chickens.

It’s long been debated whether guinea pigs and rabbits should share habitats, but a rabbit sharing a chicken coop is something completely new.
